The initial consultation is a 75-minute session designed to get to know you fully. During this intake, we'll discuss your diagnosis, symptoms, lab results, medical history, dieting history, lifestyle, habits, support system, exercise routine, stress levels, and more. We’ll create a safe and supportive environment to explore sensitive topics like body image, relationship with food, digestive health, menstrual cycles, and beyond.

At Alike, we recognize that PCOS is a deeply personal condition that affects not only physical health but also emotional well-being and overall quality of life. Many of our dietitians have PCOS themselves and truly understand the complexities of managing this condition. Our dietitians are here to do more than just offer nutrition recommendations—they are here to listen, offer guidance, and empower you to take control of your health. We firmly believe in body autonomy, and ultimately, that you are in the driver's seat of your care.
-
At Alike, treatment is tailored to you—it's not one-size-fits-all. We provide collaborative, holistic, and patient-centered care, taking into account all aspects of your health.
Our dietitians will review your diagnosis, symptoms and lab results to create a personalized plan that includes meal planning, targeted supplements, gentle movement, stress management, sleep hygiene, and social support.

A weight-neutral approach focuses on overall health and well-being, rather than weight loss. This approach promotes behaviors that support physical, emotional, and mental health, including balanced nutrition, mindful eating, exercise, and self-care, all without the pressure to conform to a specific weight or body size. We believe that improvements in your PCOS goes beyond the scale and health is achievable at any size.

A dietitian is a healthcare professional with extensive training. As dietitians we hold a degree in clinical dietetics, we must complete a supervised internship of 1,200+ hours, pass a national exam and maintain certification through continuing education credits to stay up-to-date with the latest research and practices. In contrast, the title "nutritionist" is not regulated, meaning it can be used by individuals with varying levels of education and experience.
